Internet Foundation to Scrutinize Website Content

The creator of the World Wide Web, Sir Tim Berners-Lee told the BBC that he has become concerned about the amount of unfounded information on-line. He used information about the Large Hadron Collider as an example of how we need to differentiate rumours from the truth. Several rumours that made their way across the Internet referred to the Collider creating a black hole and swallowing up the Earth.
Sir Tim and several others have created the World Wide Web Foundation, in order to increase worldwide access to the internet and keep it open & free increasing its stability & capability into the future.
The Foundation will provide accreditation to websites that satisfy a number of criteria to prove they are trustworthy sources of information.
