New Age Living Website Case Study

New Age Living is a Newquay based alternative crafts and gifts retailer, supplying a wide range of gifts from around the world suitable for all occasions.

New Age living’s key aim for a website was not only to increase online sales and overall business revenue, but to insure their site provided their customer with the correct branding image of, interesting products at affordable prices.

As many of the businesses products are hand carved by skilled craftsmen, it was imperative for the site to correctly portray this notion quality of the products superb workmanship.

Since 2008 New Age Living has worked with NetInsight to fulfil all of their E commerce and web based business needs.

Since New Age Living did not have an already established website, entering the business into the online market place was a business priority. NetInsight needed to ensure the new online aspect of the business provided a strong competitive advantage for the brand within today’s ever competitive e- commerce market. Planning Web-site

One main initial task that was undertaken by NetInsight, was to carefully plan the process of how New Age Livings website would be developed in order reduce future risk and increase value for the client. After an initial meeting with New Age Living at their premises in Newquay, a personalised website requirements audit was constructed.

The audit included  recommendations for logical website architecture, copywriting, web design, development, search engine optimisation, digital marketing and other key aspects.

Agency Selection

The next phase of the project was to draw up a technical specification for the site. Individual documents were drawn up for all of the different agency types as this allows for the most accurate quotation possible with the most comprehensive fulfilment of the client’s needs.    

By creating an accurate technical brief aids the refinement of the agency selection process and therefore makes the whole process far more accurate and efficient.

Once all of the agencies had submitted all their proposals a recommendations brief is then submitted to the client.

Web Project management

Once all of the agencies had been selected, a project plan and structure were drawn up, this help clearly identify all of the projects key tasks and milestones, which in turn could be then passed onto different parties. During development all parties involved within the development of the project are dealt with on behalf of the client by NetInsight.

NetInsight managed both the requirements of New Age Living and the timing and delivery of the agencies work, ensuring all data and content was duly available and of the highest standard.

The Outcome

Through utilising NetInsight’s advice New Age Living now has an effective and competitive presence with the world of E- Commerce. The website is the most advanced in merchandising capability in their retail sector. New Age Living now have a platform with which to launch effective and ongoing sales campaigns.
