THF Affordable Housing Website Case Study

Based in Truro, THF has been building houses for 5 years and diversified into the affordable housing sector in May 2003 because of the obvious need to prevent local people from being forced out of their home villages as a result of the property boom.

THF did not have an already established website, meaning NetInsight had to start from the ground up and create a user friendly environment to encourage site traffic and generate further interest in THF’s services.

Planning Web-site

After arranging the initial client meeting, NetInsight met with THF to discuss the business' requirements for the new website. NetInsight then followed on from this by extensively discussing the options available and shared ideas which would improve all aspects of the users experience when using the website.

Once a significant amount of information had been gathered from THF NetInsight produced a Website Requirement report which contain recommendations ranging from website architecture, design, development, content management systems and more.  Once agreed upon, these recommendations were added to the website brief in order to give a coherent and comprehensive basis on which tenders could be based.

Agency Selection

A technical specification document was created based using the Website Requirement brief as a basis. The Technical Specification outlined all the technical needs of the client and the website. This Document was then put out to tender to web development agencies around Cornwall and the UK.

Once all agency bids had been received, the proposals were reviewed and refined to those which accurately met the website brief.

At this stage, NetInsight used a comprehensive selection criteria to source suitable agencies and conduct full reviews on each bid to select the most suitable candidate.

Web Project management

Throughout the whole process NetInsight eBusiness Consultancy have been on hand to deal with all aspects of the planning and development of the THF website. NetInsight’s Project Management service enables clients such as THF to continue working efficiently in the knowledge that all of the projects timings, contingencies and progress are being managed and assessed constantly by NetInsight’s project managers.
